Laughter is a healing phenomenon. We have
long known that bringing humor into a hospital can hasten the recovery
time of patients. What a joy to know that something so fun can be so
good for us.
There is, of course, a multitude of reasons
for laughter. I would have to think that laughing at another
would not come under the heading of a healing expression. But then, you
probably wouldn’t be here if you were the type who laughed at others.
Perhaps today you could create a special
moment for someone near you, a co-worker or a friend, or even someone
you meet briefly, by sharing your laughter. It might be just what
he/she needs at this time. You, too, can be a healer. No matter who it
might be or what the situation, laughter will always have positive
effects.
Feel your joy and share it.
I wish you laughter
often,
Lana Keating
