Many of our mothers,
and their mothers before them, made a ritual of their spring cleaning.
It was a time to clear out all the cobwebs of winter and bring fresh air
to their homes. They cleaned things that hadn’t been cleaned since last
spring.
You might not make
such a ritual of that particular chore, but it would still be a good
time to consider a “spring cleaning” of your mind. Really, anytime
would be a perfect time to assess how your belief system is working for
you. Are you served well by your thoughts and the beliefs that lie
under the surface in your subconscious?
The best way to make
this assessment would be to look closely to what your life is holding.
What you manifest in your life will tell you what kind of thoughts and
beliefs you have. Are you happy and fulfilled in your profession or job,
your relationships? Are you healthy and full of energy? Are you always
pressed for time?
What you see in your
life that doesn’t seem to be working so well will tell you where you
might concentrate on that cleaning job. If you have been thinking
negatively about this area. . . “I hate this job,” “My mother-in-law is
interfering far too much in my life,” “I’ll never lose this weight.”. .
.stop and take the time to investigate just what you’re thinking about
the situation or person. If your thinking leads you to negative
feelings. . .anger, resentment, hurt, frustration. . .then take the
responsibility for how you think and change your thinking! No
one else can do it for you. You will have to do your own spring
cleaning.
Ideas (thinking) of
the wrong kind will bring you experiences of the wrong kind. Part of
your growth depends on taking responsibility for what you think. It
takes practice to control what goes into your mind, but it is worth the
attention and work.
We wish your mind to
be filled with only good things,
