We have all heard this statement: “I can’t
help how I feel.” Perhaps, after giving it some thought, you might
realize this is a statement you would use. You could probably identify
it as a thought you would have when you’re feeling angry, disappointed,
or misunderstood.
If you are one of those who thinks you
really can’t help your feelings, that they just come on you without any
control on your part, then please stop and give this some serious
contemplation.
If you can’t control how you
feel, then who can? Is it someone out there?
If you truly believe it’s someone else who causes you to feel badly,
then wouldn’t you be acknowledging that you were under the influence of
mind control? Someone else has taken over your mind and
is using it for his/her purpose.
While you might question the notion that
someone is using your mind, you have to look at your belief here. Do
you believe you have control over your own mind, what you think, and,
therefore, how you feel? Or do you believe that control comes from
someone outside yourself.
It can’t be both ways. To admit that you
really aren’t under the mind control of someone else is to also admit
that you alone have control over your mind. Therefore, you have control
over what you think and how you feel. Your feelings come from what you
are thinking.
If you want to feel better. . .THINK BETTER
THOUGHTS! You are the one who will benefit.
May your day be filled
with only good thoughts,
